I Can't Even Give It Away
My free Kindle promotion on May 31 resulted in 4 downloads. That was basically what I expected, but not what I "hoped" would happen. Hope is a funny thing---we insist on clinging to it even when all signs point the opposite way.
I'm fine with it, though. I'm willing to give my novel away to everyone, but I won't pay FreeBooksy $60 for the opportunity. I'm not insane. And I only get 5 free KDP promotion days per each 90-day Kindle Select period.
With that in mind, have I got a deal for you! Just leave me a comment telling me you'd like a copy of Running From Herself, and I'll send you an epub or a PDF, whichever you want. (Oh, I'll need to know where to send it, but I have no other use for your email address, no offense. I don't send a newsletter, and I'm not a spammer/scammer.)
I would really appreciate an honest review, but I won't hold the book hostage unless you agree to write one.
I've decided that my stellar work will one day be rewarded---posthumously---which really takes the fun out of it. My heirs will appreciate the proceeds from the movie deal, however. Although, frankly, my heirs have more money than I do. But a little extra will be nice for them. They can fight over which one of them attends the Pulitzer ceremony.
So, what are you waiting for? Get your request in now, while supplies last!
