So, My Amazon A+ Content is now Visible
I don't know why, but I expected KDP to email me when my A+ content was approved. I'm so used to updating my books' metadata and getting those emails that my book is "now available in the Kindle store" that I assumed the A+ content update would generate a notice as well. Plus, I was warned that it could take up to 7-10 business days for my content to be approved.
Well, it's there--one day later. What I had wanted, and the module I chose, was one with an image with text overlay. That's not what I got. I got images with, let's call them "captions" beneath. I'm dissatisfied.
However, I need to weigh whether trying to redo them would result in one more screw-up. I'm leaning toward just leaving things alone. I seriously doubt that including A+ content is going to make one iota of a difference in sales anyway. And at least the new version is superior to my single banner with my book cover and...that's it.
On the plus side, I do like the images. All of them (except my book cover, of course) were created with Whisk. I've used various of these images frequently--for my website and occasionally for social media. Creating them was one of the few things I managed to do right.
After hours upon hours of just trying to get a version of A+ content that reflects my vision, and after long, drawn-out fights with Amazon's AI, I think I'll stay with it. I just don't have the energy to do battle again.
