As I was closing out my ad and deleting the campaign manager link from my bookmarks, I decided to take one last look at my KDP sales report. As expected, the campaign performed terribly, although I did manage to squeak in one additional sale, so that makes two.

I was about to click out of the link when I thought I saw some outrageous number at the top of the page, which bewildered me. So, I stopped in mid-click and looked closer. It seems I've gotten 8,277 Kindle Unlimited page reads for Running From Herself. (That deserves some !!!) What the hell? If that translated to full reads of the novel, it would be just short of 32 copies read. I'm a bit flabbergasted.

I know this isn't the result of my Amazon ad, since I got so few clicks that no one would even know the book is enrolled in KU, so FreeBooksy, maybe? I thought grabbers of free books never read them.

When I was looking for an appropriate image for this post, I stumbled upon some numerology gobbledygook about the number:

I am gratified to learn, as well, that I have a mighty angel leading me. Apparently he/she is a silent one, which is fine. I haven't exactly been conversing with him/her, either, but in my defense, I wasn't aware that he/she was here.

It's true that I've been working on my spirituality lately, but that's wholly disconnected from the notion of "riches". Still, $49.31 is the most money I've earned from any of my books--ever. Another sixty-nine cents and I'll be contributing to a GiveSendGo campaign. So, that's my goal. Hopefully, my angel will approve.

I have naturally viewed my last-ditch attempt at moving copies of my book as a colossal failure, but the page reads are a very nice consolation.
