Final Free Book Promotion Results
I only ran my free promotion for The Diner Girl for two days. Two is enough, especially if those two days cover a weekend. The final tally is in: 1 download. One. On the plus side, I guess my books aren't actually invisible.
I'm philosophical about the whole thing. Sure, I'd love to pull up my sales report and be surprised. But I'm not crying over the results.
I'm sort of itching to run an ad ~ one single ad ~ for one of my books. I guess I'm in "testing" mode right now, but I'd have to think about which book to choose. After the ARC reviews for Inn Dreams, I've soured on that book, and I had such high hopes for it. Now when I draw up a mental list of my best works, that one doesn't even come to mind. That's something worth crying over. I worked hard to create something with an engrossing plot; a novella that was meatier than the ones that came before, only to read reviews that picked apart nearly every aspect of it, from using "big words" (?) to "I knew who the villain was right away".
So, if I was to promote a particular book, I'd go with one that has no negative reviews or even any reviews. Maybe Lies and Love or Shadow Song.
You know, my scammer loves my books. 😜 I miss him.
I wish I could hurry up and finish my novel. At least that would give me something new to focus my disappointment on.
